My practice starts with the principal that a photograph is an object and therefore is objectified. This objectification allows the work on the most simple level to just be there, to be accepted by the audience in whichever way they wish this is because the nature of the subject of the work is impersonal subjects, ‘an impersonal photograph must still depend upon the general categories already in the spectators mind’(Berger)
